Associates, delegated access, and what clients can see
A broker workspace is built for more than one person. Associates get scoped access, every listing has an owner, and your clients see their own deal and nothing else in your book.
The three access levels
Assigning listing owners
Every listing carries a named owner, so nothing sits unassigned when someone is on leave. Threads show the owner to your team and to the seller. Reassigning is one action and the history stays with the listing rather than the person.
What clients see
- Their own listing, its views, saves and inquiry count.
- Each buyer’s verification status and NDA status.
- Which documents were released and when they were opened.
- Offers on their business, with your notes only if you choose to share them.
- The pipeline stage for each buyer.
What clients never see
- Your other clients or listings.
- Buyer amounts on other deals.
- Private notes, unless you mark them shared.
- Your commission arrangements or co-broke splits.
Some sellers want names, others are happier with initials until an offer arrives. It is a per-listing setting rather than an account-wide one.
Leaving and revoking
Removing an associate revokes every session and every outstanding document link they issued, immediately. Their activity stays in the log, and their listings need reassigning before the removal completes so nothing is orphaned.
Audit trail
Every document release, revocation, price change and offer response records who did it and when. Clients can request the log for their own listing, and it is the first thing to reach for if a buyer disputes what they were sent.
Confirm the final role names and whether clients can be given direct workspace logins or stay email-only.
