Get financially verified
Verification is optional on Revanu. You can browse every listing, save searches, and message sellers without it. What it changes is how quickly sellers answer you, and whether you can reach the ones who only accept verified buyers.
What verification proves
Financial verification confirms one narrow thing: that the capital you say you have exists. It is not a credit check, it is not an approval, and it does not tell a seller how much you will offer. A reviewer confirms the document is current, in your name, and shows funds consistent with the range on your profile.
Sellers use it as a filter. A verified buyer asking for three years of financials is a different proposition from an anonymous account asking the same thing, which is why verified buyers get answered first.
What counts as proof
- A bank statement dated within the last 90 days, showing the account holder name.
- A lender pre-approval or commitment letter, on the lender’s letterhead.
- A brokerage or investment account statement, dated within 90 days.
- A letter from your accountant confirming liquid funds, signed and dated.
A screenshot of a balance instead of the full statement, and a document in a company or spouse’s name that does not match the profile name. Both are quick to fix, and re-review is same-day.
The five steps
Settings, then Verification and badges, then Financial. You can also start it from any verification prompt on a listing.
Pick bank statement, lender pre-approval, brokerage statement, or accountant letter. You only need one, though sending two speeds up edge cases.
PDF, JPG, or PNG up to 25 MB. Redact account numbers if you prefer; we do not need them. We do need the name, the date, and the balance.
Government ID plus a selfie, about 90 seconds. This is required on every path and stays on file, so later verifications skip it.
You can keep browsing, saving, and messaging while review runs. We email you when the decision lands.
What happens during review
A person reads it, not a model. They check three things: the document is dated inside the window, the name matches your profile, and the funds are consistent with the budget on your profile. Decisions come back within one business day.
If we come back for more
A request for more information is not a rejection. The two common cases are a statement outside the 90-day window and a name mismatch. Upload a current statement in your own name and the same reviewer picks it up, usually within hours.
Renewing after 12 months
Financial verification expires after a year because proof of funds goes stale. Renewal is one upload: your identity check is still on file, so you skip that step entirely. We prompt you a month before it lapses, and the badge is hidden rather than deleted if it does.
Confirm the median review time and the share of submissions that need a second document, so we can state both here instead of "within one business day".
