Operator verification

Owners hand over control of a business. They want to know who they are handing it to.

Verification is what lets you apply to a partnership listing. It is the only thing on Revanu that requires it — reading listings, financials and operator terms never does.

Turnaround
5 business days
A person reads it. Stated up front so you can plan around it.
Your references
We call them
Give three contacts. Revanu phones each one — a reference nobody calls is decoration.
Background attestation
Signed by you
You declare and sign; Revanu holds the record. No provider, no fee, and not a test you pass.

What you submit

Five components. Four are documents and checks. The fifth is a list of people who will get a phone call. An identity check sits above them, once, for your whole account.

01
Operating history
What you have run, for how long, at what scale. Revenue and headcount at each role.

02
Three references, with numbers
Former employers, partners or suppliers. Revanu calls them and shows owners what they said.
Their time, not yours
03
Documented results
Evidence behind the claims — P&L, board packs, anything that shows the numbers were real. Redact freely.

04
Proof of funds
Connect your bank for a one-off read, or upload one statement covering the buy-in band you want. Owners see the band, never the statement.

05
Background attestation
Declare and sign in your own name. Owners see that Revanu holds it, and the date; never the text, never a judgment.

What "verified for $100K – $250K" means

You tell us the largest buy-in you want to be able to make. We check the money is there, then show owners the band it falls in — never your bank statements, never your balance.

An owner asking for a buy-in anywhere inside $100K – $250K can see your money is there.

A buy-in above the top of $100K – $250K would need a higher band. You can raise it later by submitting fresh proof — the rest of your verification stands.

Applying to a listing below your band is fine. The band is a ceiling we have checked, not a commitment to spend it.

Five business days is a real wait

Reviewed by a person, not a script

Someone reads your history, calls your references and looks at your documents. That cannot be done in an afternoon. Here is what happens in the meantime.

Progress you can watch
Each component moves on its own, and references show up one by one as they are reached. Nothing sits behind a single spinner for five days.
Save what you would apply to
Every partnership listing stays fully readable while you wait — financials, terms, the operator role. Save them and they are queued for the day your badge lands.
Told the moment it lands
A notification when the review finishes, and another if an owner changes terms on anything you saved. You do not have to keep checking.

What the badge says about you

It says

Revanu verified this operator's track record, references, funds and identity, and holds their signed background attestation.

It does not say

That Revanu vouches for you, recommends you, or has checked what you attested. Attested and held, never checked — owners read that line and decide.

Start verificationKeep reading listings

You can stop halfway and come back. Nothing is submitted for review until every component is in, and nothing is charged: there is no provider and no fee.

The five business days is a commitment Revanu is making, not a measured average.
